Mobile Communications and Messaging Privacy

Factor Cybersecurity, Inc. ("Factor") may collect mobile telephone numbers, mobile-number verification information, communication preferences, messaging consent records, opt-out records, and related messaging activity when authenticated Factor users choose to enable SMS or WhatsApp communications within the Factor platform.

Factor uses this information to verify messaging destinations, deliver requested communications, maintain user communication preferences, process opt-out requests, provide support, secure the Factor platform, maintain records of consent, and comply with applicable communications requirements.

Factor does not sell, rent, share, or provide mobile telephone numbers, SMS or WhatsApp opt-in information, or messaging consent information to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information may be processed by service providers acting on Factor's behalf only as necessary to operate, secure, transmit, and deliver Factor communications and related platform functionality. Such service providers are not permitted to use mobile information or messaging consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS and WhatsApp messaging are optional. Users cannot enroll in SMS or WhatsApp messaging through Factor's public website. A user must first authenticate into the Factor platform, verify the applicable mobile telephone number, and affirmatively enable the applicable messaging channel.

SMS message frequency varies based on the user's Factor activity and communication preferences. Message and data rates may apply.

Users may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP or by disabling SMS within their authenticated Factor Communication Preferences.

Consent applies only to the verified mobile number for which it was provided. Changing a mobile number requires the new destination to be verified and may require new affirmative consent before Factor sends SMS or WhatsApp communications to that number.

Additional information about Factor's SMS program and an illustrative example of the authenticated opt-in experience are available at https://factorcyber.com/sms.

Communications-specific terms are available at https://factorcyber.com/terms-privacy/communications.

The /sms page is informational and provides a public illustrative example of the authenticated opt-in experience for transparency and compliance verification. It is not a public SMS enrollment mechanism. Actual SMS consent occurs only within the authenticated Factor platform.

Email communications are legally and technically distinct from SMS and WhatsApp communications. The authenticated-platform requirement described above applies specifically to SMS and WhatsApp messaging.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
